Hollie Away at Camp

Hollie left for Teen Leadership camp today:( She will be gone for a week. It was hard to drive home. I love to come home to the girls. Hollie though was so cute she was very excited to go to camp this morning. She is the type of child that loves to explore the world but needs that hug at the end of the exploration. Someday soon I am sure she will have out grown that but until then I will cherish every moment. I can not believe she is almost 16yrs old. Where did all that time go?

Our New Hair Styles

I took the girls to Gene Juarez for a new look. They got to pick out how their hair was cut. Hollie really loves hers, Lauren not so much. Lauren will have a lot of up keep with her new style. Today she tried to go curly today but by the end of the day her hair was very full. We will try straight hair tomorrow, again. Hollie only needs to put gel in and go.

We are hoping that the girls will be wearing contacts by the end of the month. Who knows maybe Hollie will start wearing makeup this year. They are growing up so fast!

Home School

Farmers Market

I went with Stacy to the Farmers Market on Saturday. I love the market, I always meet interesting people. There was all sorts of neat crafts, fresh fruits and veggies. I signed up for the Smith Brothers so we will now be getting our milk straight from the farm! They say it leaves the cow and 24hrs later is in our hands, pretty cool. So next year I want to rent a booth and have all my crafty friends bring their stuff to sell so that I can sit and socialize with the people. I myself am not a crafty person.

Family Golf

Mom and Greg invited the family out to play a round of Golf at the Club. It was a nice day sunny but not terribly hot. The Girls had a great time, I learned a lot from mom's pointers. I made an amazing put on the Third hole.

Hollie being silly, not seen often so had to post this picture.

Lauren making the putt, must have been a difficult group to play against but she held her own.

Aimies Poker Party

We went up to Aimie's recently for a poker party. Normally I do well when I play against this core group, I got great cards but went all in on a full house Kings and queens. Ultimately Jon, Aimie's husband bet it with four Kings. I was a victim of the slow play. It was a fun night Thom came in fourth. Jon, Aimie, and Thom are pictured above. I told Thom that this was the pic going in the blog!
