Lauren's cheer

Ok who saw this coming? Lauren wants to be a cheer leader ? Yep it's true last year she completed all her paper work herself, did not complain once about week long try outs at 0500 and when she did not make the team she wanted to sign up for club cheer to improve her skill do she could try out again this year! She loves her club cheer almost as much as soccer. She can't wait for games and says it is great being out there in front of the crowd:) top pic is first pep rally

Meeting Jacob!

Jacob my grand nephew! Yes Grand Aunt Leah at 38 yrs old ! Joanne and Cynthia drove out so I could meet Jacob who is four months old and quite the well fed baby! I do believe Cynthia produces buttermilk !

Lauren really liked him. He was a very easy going baby. Loved to chew on his hands and loves belly time. He is very dark featured with a cute smile ! 

Here's the best part Nate was interactive with him. Normally we say Nate dislikes small children but prolly more accurate to say new walkers that grab in to him for balance or any one that can invade his personal space. Nate showed interest in baby Jacob and talked about him through out the day after he left.

Golf

This summer I have taken some me time and played golf with Cooper ( aka veronica ) we hit North shore June - Twin lakes July - and Kent river bend August .. Her game always improving:) mine however stayed the same !

Shopping for a dress for Maria's wedding - found 2 dresses in a size six that fit ! So I celebrated by eating a piece of cake- oh yeah not a 6 any more

Here is the best view of what the house looks like less than five mins after we arrived! Hurricane hunter blew through in a blink of an eye!

Love these kids very inventive- imaginative- all though slightly wild. We had a good time while Aimie was at her 20 yr reunion. Auggie 3 with his love for the vacuum. Other two running around cleaning up. Nate talks about this trip often as they are genuinely nice children.

Coach Leah

I was asked to fill in for the soccer coach during her vacation! Here is s pic of the girls from our first day together. Since I know very little about soccer we did  a lot of conditioning :) needless to say the next two practices we had a lot of no shows

While we were there we saw a seagull pluck a fish from the water. Peck the fish til it stopped moving then all the seagulls flew away with me wondering hmm that's odd? Well then this huge eagle comes in! It was very cool
