The proud dad (Mike) and Grandpa waiting to cheer Kenzie on!
The Cheer Squad!Starting on the left Haily (a gorgeous model you should see her pics), Lauren, Hollie, Olivia, and center is Kelly.
Kenzie (white dress third from the right). She was beautiful, confident, and all smiles. A genuine smile on her face at all times. The girl next to her in the pink dress was crowned queen. She happened to be a friend of Kenzie's.
The Treece family! Starting on the left is Kris (mom), Kenzie, Mike (dad), and Olivia. I wish I had a picture of the business suit Kris made Kenzie it was gorgeous.
We are so proud of Kenzie!

Hollie's First Make Over

All grown up now!
Hollie at age 15 (almost 16yrs old). She is a beautiful girl without makeup. She caught the eye of several boys on her way out with her cute little dress, makeup, and the bright red hair. I don't know how much longer I can keep her "little"?

Mom's Weekend

I had a wonderful weekend! Friday I went out with Veronica and Beth to Katie Downs. We shared a bottle of wine, great conversation, and good food. Saturday pedicures and appetizers with Stacy, Robbie, and Clarice. Sunday spent some time with Melissa studying for her upcoming test! Then we all went up to Seattle to spend time with Aimie and family. Aimie and I went out to dinner (Thai), shopping, and then to see Julia and Julia. Thom and the kids spent time with Jon and his kids. They ate pizza, played the Wii, and Risk. Monday wonderful day Hollie, Lauren, and I traveled up to Bellvue to cheer on Kenzie at her pageant. During the break I took the girls (all five of them) to the Bellvue Mall. Hollie and I were walking around talking and we found ourselves in front of Macy's. Hollie found her way to the makeup counter. They talked her into trying lipstick and from there we got a full make over. She loved it and I bought it all... Ouch! Through out the course of the weekend Thom and I played several games of Scrabble which I won a couple. This was a great weekend.

Amelia Starts Kindergarten

Amelia started Kindergarten at St. Vincent Catholic school. She had such a great day, her favorite part she told me was seeing her bible school friends.

Love the smirk on her face, can't wait til she is a teenager !

Kids First Day of School 2009

Hollie started the 10th Grade today at Fife High School. I remember when she was 2-3 yrs old I was never able to picture her all grown up. Then she was 6, 12, and now almost 16yrs old. Where did all that time go?? She was super excited to get to school today. Hollie is wearing a plaid ruffle button up, with skinny jeans, and boots.

She loved all of her classes but really raved about her Biology teacher, Mr Burtchett. She is excited for all the activities and has expressed interest in FFA, Spanish Club, and Golf. I think I am going to push her to try for swim team next year. I think that our school may be the last one still offering Drivers Ed, a lot cheaper.
Lauren was super cute this morning. She is wearing a blue button up shirt with skinny jeans and blue flats. She said her classes were o.k. but then as the night went on I get the feeling she does like most classes. Science she has assigned seating and her table is filled with all boys who do not work. This is very irritating to her. After school she had Volleyball try outs and soccer practice. She said their are 29 girls trying out and only 12-15 spots. She also really really wants to be on the team. Pray that she makes the team as she has never played Volleyball before.

Fantasy Football Draft

That's right Evans hold on to that trophy! We drafted our teams and every one feels that their team is the one to beat. This is my year though! Jeremiah is just hoping to not end in last place.
Derek is in rare form!

A great picture of Robbie and Clay!
My predictions for this year in Fantasy Football 25 buck Chump League:
1st place ~Leah's Ball Crushers
2nd place ~ Thom Cleavland Steamers
3rd place~ Derek Midget Smugglers
Last Place ~ Dale's Team
Yes, I am predicting the Jeremiah will NOT be in last place.

Grandma's Birthday

So even though the first day of my trip to Yakima was to remember Grandpa's passing the next two days were much better. We celebrated Grandma's birthday and spent some time together. Yakima does not provide a wide range of activities so we went for a walk, a little shopping, movies, and then dinner out to celebrate. We met up with Uncle Tony and Aunt Karen for dinner at the Sea Galley.

Grandma blowing out her candles.
Opening her gifts, she is still having a hard time with Grandpa being gone. I think we were a good distraction though.

First Anniversary of Grandpa's Passing

My Grandpa passed one year ago on August 28th. There are so many things I miss about him. The inappropriate jokes, his laugh (at his own jokes), the smell of his aftershave in the morning, the feel of his arms, and more than anything how important I felt when I was around him.
My favorite picture of us because I can still remember the feel of his arms and the smell of his aftershave. The smile he has on is perfect because it says that I am perfect to him.
Melissa, Pat, and I with Grandpa.

Grandpa really enjoyed the girls. He use to take them out to the pasture and hit golf balls with them or they would feed the cows. Later when they were older they went on two camping trips with him.
I know everyone has to leave at some point but I wish I just had one more moment. I would have liked one more hug. Just one more card game. One more morning.

Kitsap Kick Off Tournament

Lauren's soccer team had their first tournament August 29th and 30th. The first game they won 1-0 the team they played was a little rough but they didn't have a good passing game according to her. The second game they tied 1-1 per Lauren "Oh my gosh there is no words to describe them!" They were just pushy on the field. Then we all went over to stay the night at Karen's Cabin. We stayed up talking and eating until late. In the morning we had a great breakfast. Then Jessica, Brianna, and I went walking on the beach. We played a game at 1030 but lost 0-3. The team was brutal they shoved us in the back, body checked us, slide tackled, and trash talked. (Thom said that he and Karen thought Lauren was the best player during that 3rd game).
